The IKEA Nesting Instinct...

Greetings Ape Fans!

Sorry I haven't been around much lately...I've been on assignment...(Not really. Just not much time to Blog lately...I'll do something this weekend though...I hope)...

Anyway, I was just informed that if you have the 2007 IKEA catalogue, open the folding cover and note that the dog in the picture with the family has got a man's penis. Apparently there are all kinds of rumours related to a disgruntled employee or whatever...Regardless, there's a big old dick there that would really please Tyler Durden.

I'll scan it when I get home, as I haven't been able to locate it on the internet...plus I'm still "on assignment"...My work for the yawn factory must come first, right?

Take care out there!

Your Pal,

Zambo.

P.S.
If you should happen to find the pic please link to it in my comments section or direct others to it if you wanna post it.

Thanks.

Never mind...I scanned my friend's catalogue...She's the one who told me about it and brought it in to show me...Project Mayhem is in full effect...

I guess the official word from IKEA is that it's just the dog's leg and it happens to look a lot like a human penis...Now I'm no lawyer, but I guess they can't sue the guy who did this since they've offered an explanation...We'll see how this unfolds...

From "Fight Club" one of my all time favourite films:

[about Tyler splicing frames of pornography into family films]

Narrator
: So when the snooty cat and the courageous dog with the celebrity voices meet for the first time in reel three, that's when you'll catch a flash of Tyler's contribution to the film.

[the audience is watching the film, the pornography flashes for a split second]

Narrator:
Nobody knows that they saw it, but they did...

Tyler Durden:
A nice...big...cock...

[several audience members look rattled...a little girl is crying]

Narrator:
Even a hummingbird couldn't catch Tyler at work.

I just blew it up in Photoshop and used my CSI skillz. It definitely wasn't added after the fact so my conclusion is that it's either an optical illusion, or that dog has a cock for a leg. Lucky puppy! I wonder if dogs can lick their own legs...

The writers of "The Simpsons" might say something like:

If it isn't my cute dog, Mr. McCraig...With a leg for a cock and a cock for a leg...

That is all...for now...

Your Pal,

Zambo.

A dog's leg, huh? Or is it a foot? (sic) That was great, Zambo.
I threw out that catalog, but would have probably missed that anyway.

Hee hee.

It's like my video copy of Disney's "The Little Mermaid". In the original edition one of the turrets on the underwater castle on the cover is rather phallic-like.

Yes, pandemonium ensued, and they decided to change the cover.

So I'm keeping my old uncensored copy forever. :)

Zambo, thanks for visiting my blog dude.

Anyone who likes Chuck Palahniuk, Rollins and the Planet of the Apes is ok in my book.

Regarding your questiong on my blog, here's the answer from Wiki:

>>>>>>>>>>>>

In 2002 the Greek government, ostensibly in an attempt to fight illegal gambling, passed the ambiguous and controversial law 3037/2002 which effectively banned all electronic games, including those running on home computers. The bill was formulated after a member of the ruling PASOK socialist party was videotaped in an illegal gambling establishment, resulting in public hysteria that was fueled by sensationalist reporting on the press and television. The bill was declared a law on July 30, 2002.

During a case against some Internet cafe owners who allowed their customers to play online chess and other games, a local court in Thessaloniki declared the law unconstitutional. More than 300 people were gathered outside the court in support of the Internet cafe owners.

The European Commission sent an official letter to the Greek Foreign Ministry explaining that the law may be in conflict with European legislation. In that case, the European Court of Justice could take action against Greece.

The law would affect both Greek citizens and foreigners.

On September 24, 2002 government officials published a document in an effort to clarify the controversial articles of the law.

After the EU intervention and debates with the Internet cafe owners, the government passed a new decision (1107414/1491/T. & E. F.), published in the Government Gazette issue 1827, on December 8, 2003. The new law clarifies some articles of 3037/2002 but it still bans video games in Internet cafes, and computer software which delete or encrypt files on hard disks of computers owned by Internet cafes.

The law is currently suspended and deprecated as anticonstitutional; therefore, it is not being enforced.

Looking at it in that context, it looks totally gross...! Doesn't anyone else think so? And, it is no dog's leg. Didn't the editors pick that up before they published it?

Zambo, you are too funny. You take the prize for having the most entertaining blog on this Labor Day weekend.
